REAL BRITISH FOUND CRINOID FOSSIL AND MOONSTONE 'FALLING STAR' RING GOLD AND SILVER
Regular priceSale price£185.00
An exceptional, one-of-a-kind ring made with a rare crinoid fossil found on the Jurassic coast in Dorset, England. These star-shaped fossils are known as 'star stones' and are referred to in ancient folklore. They were thought to have come to earth from the heavens, brought by thunderstorms and heavy showers. The fossil has also been coated in fine silver and set parallel to a beautiful blue moonstone 'raindrop' to represent the showers!
Designed with engagement in mind, this raw yet refined design for those with a wilder heart! Grown from solid pure 99.9 silver before being plated in a thick layer of 24ct gold; this intriguing free-form setting also adds a whole different detailed dimension to the piece. The star stone measures 5.8mm and the moonstone drop measures 5mm. The round band itself measures 1.2mm wide.
This ring is pre-made and you will receive the very ring pictured.
